Hi everyone:

 

As Lon noted, I have a "limping" copy of the website back in motion.  A long
19 hours, but I couldn't sleep with it down.

 

Links are broken in several places yet, but I am working hard to get
everything back together.  Hopefully, I can finish it up today or tomorrow.

 

Please go through your families on the site and let me know of any
corrections.  The files are only a few days old, so I am hoping it's
current.  If you note any link issues, just email me and I will attempt to
correct them in the order I receive them.

 

Everyone, with the exception of Lon and Patti will need to re-subscribe to
the mailing list if you wish to receive it.  Bear in mind that if you have
an AOL email address, it will be deleted from the subscription.  This is due
to AOL blacklisting the mail server because an AOL member reported it as
spam.  If you are on AOL and wish to receive the list, I can offer you a
free mailbox on Hawkshome for that purpose.

 

The website server is new.  The attack the site suffered destroyed the site
and server.  I am expecting server issues while it gets burned in - so
temporary outages may occur.  They will be short lived at most.

I received the following message from Ron this morning and in turn am
forwarding it on to all of you.  If you know of anyone else who should be
aware of this situation, please pass this note along.  I checked the web
site out and it doesn't look "dead" to me.  Guess Ron has it fixed ';o))

Hey Lon - 

The website was subject to a vicious hacker yesterday.  The website and the
server were damaged beyond repair.

I ordered a new server and it was put in place Monday night and I have been
attempting to piece the site back together since.

It's now 1:30am and I am fried - gonna work on it more tomorrow.  I have
restored the mailing list - but everyone will need to resubscribe. We can
keep in communication while the rebuild is happening.  Gonna be a ton of
link issues, I think.

Please let everyone know - I have lost all the addresses, so cannot relink
everyone to the list.  Have them contact me at my email if they can't get
back on it.
